To affirm what exists without reason.

That is my way of being as a photographer.

Artist Statement

Photography here favors contact over result.

The body’s hesitation toward light leaves a faint residue on the surface.

Not decision, but suspended time.

    Residual Vision

    2022-2025

Traces of light and afterimages of seeing—pausing before meaning and gathering only the faint edges of things.

  • Without Why

    2013-

Photographing as a practice of being-with—where a monochrome past folds into the family present, and quiet affirmation takes shape.

  • It is there

    2009-2013

Five years with the staff at Kitahotaka Mountain Hut—where the sublime and the routine quietly meet.
